So we can offer other kind of excursions in our Lodge in Northern Patagonia, with full enjoyment of nature.

Can I do it if I´ve never fished before?

We will be happy to teach you. Our team of patient professional guides will turn you into an expert in no time.

I don´t have any gear. Do you provide it?

We provide all the fishing and camping gear for no extra charge. We provide Orvis reels, waders and boots, Bvk TFO rods, Scientific Anglers lines and local flies.

Do you allow non-fishing companions?

Floating the Limay River is one of the best ways of seeing the Nahuel Huapi National Park. We strongly recommend you to invite your non-fishing companion to this trip.

Do the guides speak English?

Speaking fluent English is a must to be part of Trout Bariloche team.

Will the guides be friendly?

The guides at Trout Bariloche will always be close, coaching you, helping and trying to improve your fly fishing skills. Always predisposed to answer your questions, our guides are basically fly fishing teachers and companions.

We had a wonderful day fly fishing in May with Juanito. I am new to fly fishing and my boyfriend is experienced, and Juanito was able to easily accommodate us both. We were at the end of the season and unfortunately did not catch anything, but it was still the highlight of our trip. The lunch was excellent (vegetarian option even provided upon request) and the overall experience was top notch! Price is very reasonable for a once in a lifetime experience in a beautiful place with a fantastic guide. We highly recommend!

I had a fantastic day with Trout Bariloche and their guide Juanito, who understood exactly when to help and when to step back. Top service, great local knowledge of the waters, where and what the fish would take. Dry fly fishing was great with several nice browns to the net. If you are in the area and look for great fishing, they are as good is it gets!

I had a great day fishing Rio Manso with Juanito in early December! I was a single female traveler with limited fly fishing experience, so Rio Manso was recommended for my skill level and it worked out great. I caught 10-15 fish, mostly rainbows and a brown, nothing huge but bigger than I usually catch in Maine so a big success in my book! Juanito was a great guide and gave very helpful and easy to follow tips to improve my casting and land the fish.

Great guide, beautiful river, plentiful trout. Our day drifting the Limay was productive and insightful. Juanito our guide took his time providing my wife with excellent casting instruction and took his time putting us over many good holds. Aside from that the river is beautiful and the weather was perfect. Juanito was also a font of local information and we had a wonderful time. Highly recommend

The guys at Trout Bariloche love what they do, and who can blame them?! Stunningly beautiful, crystal clear river, dropping through steep canyons and loaded with hungry, strong rainbows and browns. From the reservation process to the pick up, the instructions geared towards varied skill and experience levels, the onsite prepared lunches, dinners, and the top notch accommodations, literally every detail is considered. My 12 year old son and I had an absolutely fantastic, bucket list time fly fishing Argentina. We caught a ton of fish, vastly improved our skills and enjoyed every minute of it. We’re beyond appreciative of the staff and guides, and can’t wait to return. Best trip ever!

I had an absolutely fantastic day fishing the Rio Manso with Juan and Miguel. My fly fishing skills certainly required some improvement, and their tuition was patient and thorough, and I felt I improved significantly by the end of the trip. We caught fish pretty much non-stop for the entire day, surrounded by the most incredible Patagonian scenery. The lunch was also excellent. Easily one of the highlights of my 4 month trip in South America. Will definitely be booking another trip when I return to Argentina!
